Sun Holdings is seeking a Manager Tax, to manage all aspects of our tax process. This is an individual contributor role and includes, but is not limited to, auditing returns, reconciling withholdings, submitting timely and accurate payments, software implementation to improve the process, educating staff to minimize assessments, and serving as the point person for all tax audits.
The Manager Tax is responsible for preparing and auditing monthly tax documents and updating software. Additionally, the Manager Tax, will perform and post financial transactions in the general ledger requiring strong attention to detail, and carry out relevant administrative duties (e.g. responding to tax agencies via email and handling invoices) as needed. The Manager Tax will ensure the company’s tax payments are timely and accurate and reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Job Responsibilities
- Maintain and update tax records and files
- Examine tax policies and handle tax payments and returns
- Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger (assets, liabilities, and expenses)
- Reconcile tax payments
- Analyze transactions with internal and external stakeholders
- Conduct month-end closures
- Accrue the appropriate and accurate tax
- Prepare audit documents
- Advise staff on tax issues
- Apply new accounting policies and ensure compliance with rules and regulations
- Process improvement of financial processes
- Other duties as assigned
Job Skills and Competencies

- Possess a high level of integrity, honesty, and moral principles
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, or equivalent in Accounting and/or Finance
- 4+ years of tax-related experience or relevant role in Accounting
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate to advanced knowledge and skills using Microsoft Office Suite and conducting research using Internet navigation tools.
