Sun Holdings is growing and is seeking a Corporate Staff Accountant to join the accounting team. in this role you will be responsible preparing tax documents, updating expense files, performing financial transactions and posting them in the general ledger, responding to clients via email, handling invoices. Attention to detail and proactively working to improve financial processes is crucial to the success of the person in this role.

Responsibilities
- Maintain and update accounting records and files
- Analyze budgets and create expense reports
- Examine tax policies and handle tax payments and returns
- Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger (e.g. by assets, liabilities and expenses)
- Reconcile bank statements
- Analyze transactions with internal and external stakeholders
- Conduct month-end and year-end closures
- Prepare audit documents
- Apply new accounting policies and ensure compliance with rules and regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance OR equivalent experience in a corporate accountant or relevant role in accounting
- Must be proficient in MS Word and Excel with excellent math skills
- Knowledge of an accounting information systems is a plus
- Exceptional organization, communication and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and a high level of professional integrity

Compensation: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
