Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to plan and supervise a wide range of commercial construction projects from start to finish, and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner. Must be well-versed in all commercial construction methodologies and procedures, in a multi-unit environment (i.e. restaurant, retail, etc.), and able to coordinate cross functional teams to achieve the best results.

Responsibilities
- Work closely with engineers, architects, contractors, and subcontractors to define project specifications.
- Negotiate contracts with external vendors to secure cost-effective agreements.
- Obtain necessary permits and licenses from relevant authorities.
- Plan and allocate manpower, equipment, and material resources from project initiation to completion, adhering to budgetary constraints.
- Monitor inventory levels to address shortages promptly, oversee all construction operations, procure equipment, and manage phases to meet deadlines.
- Recruit contractors and staff, assigning responsibilities effectively.
- Supervise laborers, mechanics, and other team members, providing guidance as needed.
- Track project progress and prepare comprehensive reports.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards, addressing any issues promptly.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, building science, or a related field.
- 3 years of proven experience as a commercial Construction Project Manager or similar; preferably multi-unit development, construction, renovation in the restaurant, retail, strip mall, etc. sector.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience with full life cycle commercial construction processes, reading and interpreting blueprints, materials, and project management principles.
- Strong familiarity with quality assurance and health and safety standards.
- Proficiency in MS Office and construction/project management software.
- Must have excellent communication, negotiation, organization, budgeting and time-management skills.
- Team-oriented with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- PMP or similar certification is a plus.
